Debbie’s formative years were spent on a large farm in South Texas, where she learned invaluable life lessons. Her time on the farm instilled in her a strong work ethic. “My dad often said, ‘Don’t waste daylight,’ which means you focus on being productive,” Debbie recalls. A graduate of Texas State University, she attributes her perseverance and “no excuses” attitude to her father’s teachings.
Before transitioning to a career in real estate, Debbie spent over 20 years in human resource management, honing her exceptional communication and organizational skills. Seeking a new challenge, she shifted to real estate over five years ago, achieving $30 million in sales in 2022. Debbie has also been recognized as a “Top 100 Agent” for the past four consecutive years out of over 3,500 licensed agents in the area and is one of the Top 10 performing agents in her firm, which comprises approximately 500 agents.
“For every new client, I consider: ‘What is the most positive experience I can provide them?’” Debbie prioritizes her clients and finds great fulfillment in exceeding their expectations. She enjoys meeting new people every week and considers her clients as an extensive group of friends. “My job energizes me! I always have my clients’ best interests at heart and genuinely care about their needs. It’s incredibly rewarding to help clients find the right home or get the most for the home they’re selling.”
Debbie’s husband, Dan, is an engineering manager at Eaton Corp., and together they have two wonderful children: Macy, a Liberty University graduate, and Matthew, 21, who is a senior at Liberty.
In her free time, Debbie loves exploring small towns with her husband, shopping locally, and hiking. She also has a passion for refinishing furniture.
Renowned for her professionalism, attentiveness, and thoroughness, approximately 90% of Debbie’s business comes from referrals from past clients and friends. “Referrals are the greatest compliment I could receive,” she says. Integrity is also crucial to Debbie. “We set the example. It’s up to me to bring high character to the industry and be the best representative I can possibly be.”
